Hand pies are the perfect dish to bring to any holiday party, whether it’s Thanksgiving, Christmas, Yule, Kwanza, Hanukkah or anything in between, these tasty little pies can be savory or sweet and adapted to fit any lifestyle, allergy, or religious preferences. They are portable, delicious, and perfect for dipping, transporting, and impressing all your friends and family.

In this class we will make two different hand pies: one savory and one sweet, with a flakey crust of butter and whole wheat flour. If you have a dietary restriction we can work around it, but please let us know ahead of time. If the allergy is wheat or gluten we cannot guarantee safety from contamination, flour has a lovely habit of getting absolutely everywhere.

This is a 3 hour class where we will make the insides of our pie, mix and roll our dough, cut out our pies and bake them! We will have fall inspired beverages like hot spiked apple cider, mulled wine, and apple cider mimosas as well as other non-alcoholic options.

Where is the workshop?

The class will be held at Elizabeth’s parent’s house in Bellevue. We will enjoy lovely scenic views and cozy up with a class of hot cider on the porch with a fire in the stove. These classes are the most fun and we absolutely love doing them! We can’t wait to see you there.

What's The Schedule?

3:00

Show Up

Parking can be a little tricky so we recommend getting there early. There are 3 parking spots at the top of the hill, 2 at the little cabin on the way up to the to top and plenty down at the bottom. We recommend showing up a few min early if strenuous walking isn't your thing so you can park at the top. If you are youthful and full of vigor please consider parking at the bottom and walking up the hill.

3:15

Cooking Begins

After a show period of introductions from Ashley & Elizabeth we will begin our handpie filling and dough making.

5:00

Relax!

The pies go into the oven and everyone moves to the porch to sip on hot cider and wait for the fruits of our labor to warm and brown in the oven.

5:30

Pies, Pies, & More Pies

Now we eat! Please bring your own Tupperware in case we have leftovers.
